ok i went out and got a fuel pressure gauge, and installed it on the fuel line. never used this before so i gotta ask, is it normal for the needle on the gauge to be fluxuating rapidly between 4 and 8 rapidly. can anyone tell me if this is normal? i wouldnt think so but i wanna make sure. the carb just got back from the shop and is flooding rite as i start it up.

Re: carb flooding problem
yes, normal for a mech pump, but better guages dont fluctuate quite so much. that means you have about 6psi, which should be ok.
