carb issues
I was told by a mechanic that i had a major vacuum leak, but i cant find a vacuum leak anywhere. When i put my hand over the whole carb it idles alot better, like the whole car runs smoother. the number 2 cylinder isnt firing, so i think the carb is definitely messed up. any and all advice is appreciated!!!

you can find vacuume leaks with propane, just be carefull you dont have any plug wires arcing, small amount of propane from a torch concentrated it suspect area will cause idle to smooth or change. ive used flammable brake clean although addition caution must be taken not to set it on fire. any major vacuume leaks can usually be heard though.

Re: carb issues
I'd get that #2 cylinder firing first, then worry about any vacuum leaks. Carb might be fine, but you won't know until all cylinders are firing. Vacuum leak is a minor thing, worry about it later.
