Sounds like typical q-jet secondary fuel rod cam. Try Holley or Edelbrock. Edelbrock used to make a q-jet repops and they offer some parts. Holley does q-jet remans and they may offer parts as well. PM five7kid and see what he knows. He may just chime in on this thread anyway.

Re: secondaries hanging open
Your not likely to find that part, i tried.Samething happened to me some years back.I was able to crazy glue the two halves together, but eventually it broke again.I ended up taking one from a JY carb.In order to install it though, you have to remove the four screws that hold the butterflies on the shaft(not easy, the screws are center punched). Then pull the shaft out partway & install the replacement cam(thats what its called, btw). There is a return spring, screw & maybe a pin that need to be removed/loosend in order for the shaft to slide out & it only slides out from the spring side.Damn dogchesters!
Also make sure if you go this route, not to install the cam the wrong way or it will not pull the secondary needles up/out

Depending on what your looking for you can get
a qjet replacement at jegs fairly cheap
a edelbrock for a couple hundred new
a spread bore holley that bolts right up to your intake
and have a good working updated carb

As much as I like the q-jet, tk's advice may be the best route. You may also be able to find a good rebuilder who could take care of it for you.
