regulator/filter and lines routing
Hi all,
I am running an edelbrock on my car and have been having some trouble. When the car gets fully wormed up, I believe my gas in carb starts to boil. It tries to die, and stalls on turns. The floats are to spec ( I adjusted them, which helped but not solved). I measured pressure with a gauge, and getting rms pressure of about 6psi, which might be too high, so im going to put in a regulator with filter. I believe I want to plum filter before the regulator? I am panning on mounting them on the strut tower and run fuel lines to it. Question: Are braided lines track legal, I built the car to use it, and dont want to be shut down by regulations. I know I cant run more then 12 inches of rubber line, but is braided ok, or do I have to go all hard line? Also, I am going to get one of those plastic/wood spacers for carb to try avoiding the boiling. I want it too look nice and neat, since that's how it is now, but I want to have fun legally and safely
Thanks!

Re: regulator/filter and lines routing
i had the same issue with a camaro years ago same setup.install a fuel pressure regulaor and set it for 5 lbs........and install a filter as well.that should help....also might want to check and see if you have a vented gas cap...........the heat from the muffler will also heat up the fuel in the tank and cause the fuel pump to starve as well
