How to remove idle tube jets on a quadrajet EASY!

Simply
1. LIGHTLY Tap down tubes using a very small drill bit that will not impact the sides of the collar or use a very very small punch nail. The tubes will drop perhaps 1/4 inch. Dont keep tapping or you will damage them, they will basically drop out of the collars.
2. Take a 4-40 tap (buy at Lowes), tap into the brass collar not more than one turn, I used one turn and that was plenty for the screw to firmly attach to the collar. I suppose tapping too much could run the tap into the idle tube or damage the collar where it wont fit well on the idle tube.
3. Screw a 4-40 machine screw into the tapped collar
4. carefully lever them up, grab screw shank with wire cutters and use a drill rod as a fulcrum, they will pop right out
5. turn carb over and out fall the idle tube jets.

Photo shows tools I used except for fulcrum, that was a much larger drill bit.
I am posting this so anyone else can do this with no troubles.
