Hey everyone, I dont know much about carbs. I have a small 450cfm holley on my 350 right now. It originally came with this Rochester Quadrajet i took off not realizing after i read up on it that its actually a pretty good performance carburetor. I had it rebuilt about a year ago and never used it.

It was originally had an automatic transmission with the engine so their is a kickdown on the carb.

I have this engine in my Camaro now but with a manual transmission. Can I hook up this carburetor and make it work even if it was out of an automatic transmission truck?

I dont know much about carburetors so if you would please be able to explain in simple terms for now. I appreciate the help. Thanks

 

I think you'll be ok....the carb doesn't care if there's a kickdown cable or not. (Simply put).

 

The automatic application CCC Q-jets don't mind being in front of a stick trans. Neither do the non-CCC ones. Make sure you adjust the secondary air door so you can fully enjoy it.
