fuel line routing??

So I want to redo fuel line in my engine bay. Was tpi , now runing a quadrajet. So right now there are three hard lines coming into bay, one goes to fuel pump while the othe loops back to the other. I am assuming one was the line to charcol cannister and the other was the return. I don't like how it is set up. I don't have cnister, but I would like a return. So which one is return, the high one or low one. Also I don't like how line are routed. It is a mix of rubber and metel and clamps from driverside to passenger side, over and around water pump. I would like suggestions and pics of better setups.

Re: fuel line routing??

The factory setup in the carbed cars took it across the top of the trans tunnel, right behind and below the firewall, then along the "frame" on the pass side under the evaporator core box.

While ultimately that would be the way to go, right now I would like to just try and take care of the hoses mixed with hard lines in the engine bay. I think they get to hot because sometimes I get vapors out of the carb and it doesn't want to start

No. But from what I have been reading, I would like too. Right now to two hardlines which I assume is return line and vapor cannister lines. They just have a six inch peice of rubber hose hooking them together. One is above the other.
