TPS issues, no dwell reading, need some help please
84 T/A, CCQjet, 350.
Ran into some issues where I was getting some flat spots on acceleration and it was basically running like crap on anything except full throttle or idle. Checked my dwell on my IAC to make sure it was good and it wasn't. Ran low or not at all. Needle finally went below 10% and flatlined, did not move at all.
NAF recommended/suggested it was the TPS so I went with it and ordered a new one. Took a week to get and another week before I had time to put it in. FInally got it in today, got the carb all put back together and on, fired it up, hooked up the dwell meter and bingo! I had my dwell back. For about 5 minutes. While waiting for the car to warm up so I could tune the IAC, I went about putting my tools away and when I came back, the dwell was dead again. Needle was not moving at all, just pegged on the bottom of the scale. Checked my voltages, sitting at .25 and won't move with the throttle. Power voltage is 5.95v. Not sure where to go from here, bad sensor? Too much power to it? Bad connector to the sensor? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The MCS is clicking when I turn the ignition to "on" so I know that it's working, or at least energizing. Kind of stuck without a real direction. Going to try and pull a reading strait off the MCS wires now I guess. Here's hoping for the best.

Is there anything else in the TPS/MCS loop that would cause the meter to not read? Obviously if it's dead I suppose...guess I'll have to try and replace the MCS as well.

Yeah, so now where is the extra .9 volts coming from? As soon as I get paid, going to order a new heated O2 sensor in the off chance that mine has gone bad and is causing some of the issue since I have no way to test an O2 sensor. I really hate electronics sometimes.
