TV Corrector Install Question
I purchased the Holley bracket to correct the pull of the TV cable but the instructions show a different type of linkage than my carb has.
This is what mine looks like

This is the type in the instructions

Heres a link to the intructions http://www.holley.com/data/Products/.../199R10345.pdf

Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
Re: TV Corrector Install Question
The carb in the pic is a boat carb... no wonder it won't accommodate a TV cable, as boats don't generally have those.
Probably be a good idea to get some other carb for your car.

Yeah I went to O'Reilly's and talked to them they said it looks like my baseplate is a marine style. The top picture isn't my exact carb, as mine doesn't have the J pipes. My base plate and main body have 2 different finishes.
I believe I can just buy a throttle shaft service kit since it comes with the proper throttle arm.
Thanks

Sounds like maybe then, you have a carb where somebody swept up the shop floor, assembled all the Holley parts they found into one amalgam, and ... now you have it.
I'd recommend against spending any money on that. There's NO TELLING how much stuff has been changed about it.
Some of the parts (metering blocks in particular) may have the list # stamped on them; if they match the carb list #, there's hope. If not, cut your losses now, and spend your money on some other carb that you don't have to deal with a situation where the first thing you have to do is find all the little hidden gotchas buried in it from where somebody has previously butchered it.

Re: TV Corrector Install Question
I saw the carb in use with the engine I have (350). The guy I bought it from had a turbo 350 with a manual valve body so he never had to worry with the kickdown.
(Bought engine and carb from same guy at the same time)
