Lokar Throttle cable/Bracket -NE1 run one?

As part of my upcoming winter projects, I'll be putting on a Edelbrock Thunder AVS 800 CFM carb with electric choke on the car.

I know a lot of guys don't care for 'em, but it's more appropriately sized for my setup than my current Demon 650 is. Plus I got it relatively cheap (it's a 500 dollar carb new), it's only been on one engine for breakin, and it's a nice looking "endurashine" one. It looks 10 times better than the Demon, but slightly better performance is the main goal.

I'd like to get this set up right, and I know some of these brands of brackets are flimsy at best and cause issues. I'm thinking of getting one of the Lokar throttle cables along with a cable mounting bracket. I've seen a few of there parts on non-F-bodies around here, and it seems to be decent quality stuff.

Is there anyone here using Lokar stuff? How did it adapt to the stock gas pedal and how long should the cable be to fit a thirdgen? Since I have a 5 speed, I don't need a kickdown provision, but I do have a cruise control cable to hook up also...
