84 Camaro 305 Acceleration was bad, and idling bad now won't start

I was driving to work yesterday and my acceleration was horrid, it would take a few seconds to get from 1-10km/hr then once I got going about 15 it was fine. At every light my idle was rough and low (400rpm) when I was just pulling into work my car just shut off so I just managed to coast into my parking spot. I tried to start it and no luck it was trying to turn over but nothing was happening. I went today to try and see if it would start. It did but it was idling around 3-400. I tried to pull forward and I put it into Drive my rpms dropped down to 200 I moved about 10 feet and it shut off and it will not start now.

I was thinking it was my TPS sensor but I cannot find it. My camaro book only have info about 2.8L motors and mine is the 5L. Any one have any ideas about what is wrong with it?

Tps should be on the driver side of the carb, its a three prong wire and it will be close to the throttle linkage. If I remember correctly it should be adjusted to between .50 and .55 ohms of resistance...

Given the symptoms related, I'd give the probably of the TPS causing the problem at about .002%.

Did the SES light come on while the engine was running? If it did, did you check for trouble codes stored in the computer?
