Re: 88 camaro distributer problem

it shoud come with one plug on it out of the box (ICM wiring) and it should have two other connections for 12v ignition and one for Tach, they are labled on the cap.

Re: 88 camaro distributer problem

Yes it looks just like that distributer in the picture but my question is what on my cars wiring do I hook up to that 2 pin connecter on the distributer? there is no connecter on my car that will just plug into the new distributer ya know what I mean, there is only one plug in on the new distributer and my old distributer had 2 on it,do I need to hook something up from my old distributer to my new one?

The factory small-cap coil wires are pink and white. You buy connectors like Brando showed and splice them into to those two factory wires.

You don't need to hook up any of the wires from your factory distributor. Just the pink power wire to BAT, and white tach wire to TACH.

Make sure your 12v + wire is a keyed 12v . You don't want to hook up a wire that is constant 12v it would be a little difficult to turn the engine off.

If he hooks it up to the pink coil wire, it will be switched 12v.
