CC carb and no O2 sensors?

The CC carbs use the o2 readings to adjust the air fuel mixture correct? When I bought my camaro it had plugs where the 02 sensors go. My auto teacher mentioned this could be making the car run rich. Is this correct? The car will start up fine when cold but when I shut it off and try to start it a few minutes later it will take about 6 to 8 seconds to fire up again. I plan on ditching the computer soon but in the meantime I would like this carb to work properly until I can get a new one.

oh yeah, it'll make your car run rich as hell if you don't have it in.. Should only be one oxygen sensor close to the driver side exhaust manifold

Yep, your O2 sensor is a MUST for the CC carb.
