Its a 750cfm electric choke performer so my problem is the top butterflies on the secondaries dont open but maybe 30% of the time. The bottom set of secondaries open mechanical and work fine, the top set moves freely, no vaccum leaks, electric choke works fine ive also changes the metering rod springs. Any other ideas? Can i just remove the top butterflies? Thanka for your time.

 

There is nothing wrong with it. They usually don't open all the way. They will only open for as much air as the engine wants. That's how a vacuum secondary works. You have a stock cammed 350. It doesn't need or want 750 cfm worth of air.
Do not remove them. You will turn the carb into a double pumper without the secondary pump and will bog when you get on it.

 

What he said. Unless you crank your engine to 8000RPM or so it's not going to open. That's a pretty big carb for a 350, you might like a 650CFM better on the street.

 

Well thanks for your input but there was an issue with the carb got it fixed and car runs awesome.
