Holley 4160 Choke Issue

Though the choke closes and opens slowly on a cold start, the choke plate never achieves a full vertical position even when fully warm. There isn't any binding in the linkage--as a matter of fact, I can manually open the plate with little effort, but it won't stay in position. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Are you not suppose to bend the linkage a little to fix this. I believe that's what my book says.

I received a note from a tech at Holley who says the position is normal.

i agree with the tech, for your climate.

if you get your motor/carb in perfect tune,...you could get rid of the choke all together for performance. just gotta use the gas for a few minutes with your foot til it warms up. IDK if thats something you want to do?

theres always a cable/manual choke option too?

Actually in the last few days, after experimenting with fast-idle speed and choke adjustments, I'm getting close to being satisfied with the electric.
