Car died on me twice last Friday
I'm on my usual Friday night date night last week. Head up to Redondo Beach to the Cheescake Factory in my Camaro, which I have not driven there since 1995 with my ex. We pull into the valet and the guy goes "Hey it's Knight Rider." Of course I corrected him and told him that was a Trans Am, not a Camaro. My date laughed at me and called me ****.
Ok, well all is good and dandy until I began to accelerate up and down on the hills of Artesia Blvd. My car sputtered, felt like it choked and died. Threw into neutral and started it up again. Ten minutes later, did the same thing. My better half imediately tells me that I need to get my carb rebuilt. So i'm in love with a gearhead. LOL. Then, after dropping my date off, the car just didnt have enough power and all of the sudden came to life.

After bringing the car out of storage did you give it a tune up and change the filters?

Car has new plugs, wires, filters, coil, hoses, oils, fuel in tank was used up so no sludge. Even when not driven for long distances, it gets driven around several blocks up to operating temp. Last time I had the carb rebuilt was in 1995. So maybe time.

I would toss a little seafoam in the tank and drive it a bit more. Worst cast you waste $8 but it sounds like you had a little something in the lines or in the carb come free.

Seafoam was the first thing. All lines are cleared.

I would also drop in a fuel additive into the tank and take it for a nice run on the highway for a few miles

Didn't do the fuel additive but it do go for a good high speed run.
