Done tons of researching and cant seem to find original fuel sending unit for 82 trans am where can I find one?? Mine is corroded and electric wires arent in the best shape, PLEASE HELP!

 

Or will a later model work and fit as well?

JC Whitney may have it in Spectra brand name. Dont know the quality but they used to have them.

As far as I know nobody is making a carb sending unit. Below is a picture I took when I converted mine to the EFI sending unit from spectra.



You can use an EFI unit on a carb but you would have to extend the main line and put a sock on the end since it is designed to have the pump be in there with the sock. You would also have to modify the external connections as the EFI unit has high pressure connections instead of the simple barbed end the carb unit has.
