fuel pressure regulator
Hey all, Im Running a carbed 5.7.
My Buddy has a adjustable fuel pressure regulator he's selling for cheap. I'd like to get it but I'm not sure its a unit to be used with a carb.
He said its universal. And has a barb on the bottom (fuel return?) a barb on the left and the right (fuel in/fuel out?) Which all makes sense but then there is a barb on the back of it. He said its vacuum. Its brand new in the bag/box and came with a rubber vacuum hose. Do fpr's need vac? Can I use this regulator?

Re: fuel pressure regulator
The vacuum port is not needed unless you need to increase fuel pressure in certain situations, such as full throttle when running a turbo. If your not using a turbo or supercharger, just leave it disconnected. You need to make sure it has a return port, and that it will regulate the fuel pressure down to the 5-6 psi a carb needs. If you can post the part number or brand and model number, that would help. Otherwise it's just a guess as to whether or not it will work.

Part number I can't tell u I'm pretty sure its a eBay special. But the brand is mp2 not that that helps. If the gauge that is installed on it from the factory has low psi (1-10) would it be safe to say that I'm good to use it?

If you're sure the gauge was installed from the manufacturer, it should be fine. Some pics would be helpful if you can.
