Stock Throttle Stop Screw Setting

If the secondary throttle stop screw has been removed on a Holley 4160, what's the procedure for putting it back to the stock setting?

Re: Stock Throttle Stop Screw Setting

Rotate clockwise.

Why would you want to put it back there? It's wrong, ALWAYS, and needs adjustment to tune it to the engine, just like the pri one is when you pull a carb out of the box; that's why it needs to be adjusted to coordinate with the pri setting to set the correct relationship between the pri throttle blades and the idle transfer slots.

At what point in the transfer slot process are you?

Been tinkering for a while. An idea has suddenly occurred to me, one that I'll try today. May cure my car's ills. We'll see.

BTW, the jets/PV are in place and that part of the tune seems terrific.

Ok, I must have things pretty close, but I still have a slight hesitation/bog at low speed.

A bit more tune and the bog seems to be gone. I went to the road where I tune, went around a roundabout in second and got on it. Screeching tires, a little sideways movement—dang near soiled my tidy whities. I'm going to live with the current tune for a coupe of days and see....
