Re: rochester quad jet vac pipes

Trans cooler has nothing to do with the carb. So at least you can cross that one off your list.

There is a vacuum routing diagram in one of the stickies at the top of this thread.

If you get stuck, post up a pic of the offending line/t-fitting (and where it hooks to the carb) and we'll see if we can't nail that one down for you quick.

Re: rochester quad jet vac pipes

Pics are largely worthless.

YOU'RE standing in front of the car; we're NOT.

Follow the diagrams. They don't lie. (speaking as someone that has posted some of those in the past) Don't fret over what a mess it is now; instead, concentrate your mental effort on making it match the diagram for your car.

Without the vacuum reservoir attached, expect the AC to blow out of the defrost vents temporarily while under hard acceleration.

Re: rochester quad jet vac pipes

That's the way to go: just make the car match the diagram. Beats trying to decipher "what's there", since that could be anything (and usually is), with no rhyme or reason whatsoever. Best to forget all that and just focus on "make it right" instead of "what's wrong".
