another fitment quest.
I have a 350 with edel. performer rpm intake, and a edel. 1411 carb and this is the hood I was going to use:
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/atta...0125-00084.jpg
but it met with an unfortunate accident. so now I have to either buy a $500 hood (ss or cowl). or I have to find a air cleaner that will fit under the stock (perfectly good) hood. a 14in drop base hits the dizzy and the fuel line inlet will have to have a 90degree 3/8npt to hose barb put in. help please!!!! oh and I'm using oem rubber motor mounts.

Re: another fitment quest.
i think this is mine, they have one that has more drop but then in the notes it says you have to add a spacer so its less drop over all, doesnt make any sense. this one fits edelbrock and 4150 carbs without messing with it

not 100 percent sure because i got a whole edelbrock dress up kit at a local speed shop. that seems the same though

Re: another fitment quest.
nope jw, it doesn't fit the hood is of course riding on top of the filter lid. tilting back and forth like a see-saw. does anybody else have a combination close to this and making it work with the stock hood? or am I the only trying to?

Re: another fitment quest.
I didn't want to use this hood because it needed a paint job and a few dents from being accidentally ran over (is good to pay attention) but I have to admit It fits like a glove.

Re: another fitment quest.
1221 air cleaner base did clear this hood with 2.5in filter but b/c of daage to hood the hood wont lay like it is supposed to, so I have to go with stock for now but If I git rid of wing nut, threaded rod and git reg. bolt go into the carb for the air cleaner and git the 1480a filter it will fit like a glove thx fellas.
