Quick Fix
Can someone tell me how to fix the sending unit on a 87 iroc it went bad an doesn't register on gage right what can I do to fix it Thanks.

Short version: Drop tank. Install new sending unit. Reinstall tank.
You can verify it isn't a problem with the wiring or guage by unplugging the connector, then grounding the two pins together on the side that is running to the guage. If the guage moves, your wiring and guage are ok, and you can proceed with the sending unit.
