Swap from s/a 670 to 600 dp hp?

I currently have a street avenger 670 and have access to 600 dp I think it has the main body upgrade because there are no list numbers on the hp style main body. Engine is a 355 aluminum pro comp heads, comp 270h magnum cam, holley street dominator intake, shorty headers, 9.6:1 comp, th350 w 2800 stall, 3.23 posi. Any advice?

Try both of them and see what your engine likes best. For street use I think the avenger 670 will win out though.

How well do you know carbs? If you can tune a carb real well. Like PV, jets, air bleeds, pump cam, etc then you might be able to dial the 600 DP in better to match your engine's needs and get more performance out of it than the avenger.

If you are not so good at carb tuning then the avenger would do better as it is a more stick it on, adjust idle and it runs good on everything type carb

Re: Swap from s/a 670 to 600 dp hp?

Well def not a carb expert but I did have to do some tuning on the 670 to get it to run. Jets, pv, pump cam, squirter and vac spring. Did some research and I'm pretty sure it is a 600 hp series just the list number is missing for some reason. Measured throttle bores and Venturi. I'm just going to give it a try and see how she runs. I'm really not worried about gas mileage it's a weekend toy. I live in the country so no cops= side ways around every corner lol. Any suggestions or threads with advice on where to start with jets and pv's. I'm thinking something like 68 and 8.5 primary and 72 and 6.5 secondary??? Thanks for the reply
