Holley 12-803 mount location
I have a 400 sb in my 82 Trans Am, with a Carter M6626 mechanical pump feeding an Edelbrock 1407 carburetor. I will be adding a pressure gauge right after the regulator.
I am adding the regulator since the Edelbrocks like the lower fuel pressure.
Can I mount the Holley regulator on the intake, or should I mount it on the inner fender?
Yes my car runs fairly hot on an average day.
Either way, I will use steel fuel line for the majority of the runs, with only short rubber fuel line as required.
Also, any hints on a good fuel line from the pump to the carb? The outlet on the fuel pump is right near the lower radiator hose.
Thanks guys

On intake or inner fender will work fine. I have mine on the inner fender, mostly due to the fact I like to tinker and change things alot so less on the intake/in the way the better. With it on the inner fender/strut tower it's easier to remove intake.
For fuel line, I use alum. hard line, with short lengths of rubber and clamps to join it together.
Here is a few pics of mine.
