in dash fuel pressure gauge?
Ok this might be a stupid thing to ask but please be kind. I am wondering if there is a way to safely monitor fuel pressure from inside the vehicle such as a sending unit and gauge for a non-ECU Trans Am 5.7. Vehicle is using an edlebrock 600CFM carb and mechanical pump. I would like to be able to monitor fuel pressure as I am driving.

Re: in dash fuel pressure gauge?
You basically answered your own question, you need a pressure transducer and a compatible gauge to read the transducers output. NEVER run fuel line into the cockpit for a gauge. I don't think an oil pressure switch would be good as it is designed for higher pressures but probably not accurate enough under 10 psi. Might be good for a TPI setup, but again, how accurate is an oil pressure gauge?

They make gauges with a diaphragm isolator. The section that goes to the cluster is filled with something similar to antifreeze iirc. They are usually much more expensive as well. Otherwise people mount the gauge on the hood and that is more often on track cars.
