Re: fuel lines
5/16 line adjacent to 3/8 supply line along inner pass fender.
Lines run from the left rear at the tank and cross the tunnel above the transmission to come up along the right frame rail.

Re: fuel lines
being in the 'carburetor' forum, I would have assumed a carburetor was present.
the 1/4" line under the steering shaft should go to the charcoal canister. you don't want to use it as a return, it terminates at the top of the tank (inside the fuel tank).

Lu5 fuel lines
The run on the drivers side sub frame rail but I do not see if they extend as far as 85
In front of the strut tower. Like maf said they maybe back bye the steering column/master cylinder lines.

Re: fuel lines
coming from your tank there should be four metal lines.
3/8" supply line
3/8" tank over pressure purge line (goes to purge diaphragm above rear axle)
1/4" tank vent to charcoal canister up front
5/16" return line (if so equipped)
I do not recall with absolute certainty that the 82 carbed motor had a return, but a quick review of fuel pump replacements for the 82 support my recollection that it did.
in your case however, the only way to find the return line is to look. and we can't see so good under your car from here.
