Engine bay fuel lines

Im sure this is a stupid question but im trying to connect the fuel lines to the carb and it looks like there's three lines coming from under the car. I know one is the fuel sender and one is the return, but what is the third one with the plasic thing and smaller lines coming out of it? Any help much appreciated 👍
