You think so? It's still a 3 inch opening. The way I look at it is, I'm gonna be pulling cool air compared to my old air cleaner just sucking up all the hot and I mean HOT scorching air from around the intake. Still haven't went for a drive to test it out but I mean it can't be worse can it.You say it's restrictive as in my engine wont get enough air ? What kind of issues would a restriction like this cause? Hesitation ? I see what your saying that that area is kinda tight.

Stock engine or built? You might be OK. Upper RPMs can be choked.

Bone stock L31. Damn my upper rpm's pretty sucky already with the truck cam and t56. I need to build it.
