Intake Manifold and Air Filter For Quadrajet Carb

Currently I am in the process of replacing my l98 tpi system from an '85 corvette with a quadrajet carburetor. What intake manifold will give me the best performance results? Also which intake and air filter will be able to fit under the hood of my car? It's an '87 Firebird that originally had a 2.8, so the hood is very sleek. I've been searching around and it's getting a bit confusing, hopefully one of you guys can lead me in the right direction. Thanks.

Edelbrock Performer intake; not the "best" performance but you need the hood clearance, and it works great for 1000-5500 RPM. Any standard size 14-inch drop-base air cleaner will work fine as long as it fits a Quadrajet...
