Manifold review, Team G and 7546 X-celerator single planes
I picked up the Wieand 7546 single plane for my current project. It wasn't bad...but I wasn't sure I cared for the runner design. They basically have no bends at all, meeting the head at a fairly sharp angle. Hard to say how it really does without a flowbench..but I decided to get a different manifold just so I could sleep better. Would probably work quiet well on a smaller headed motor than I wanted it for.
So I got the 7530 Team G. It's NICE. The plenum is recessed down into the manifold aways. Not only does it look to give the charge a much straighter shot down the port, but it makes for a ton of hood clearance. I think it might just have more than my dual plane Stealth. The runners are very short as well, and nicely contoured. The ports match up perfectly...I doubt I'l even bother taking a dremel to it.
My only minor complaint about the team G is the plenum. It's rather small and has some sharp corners, not so bad it couldn't be cleaned up with a dremel. On the other hand the plenum on the 7546 was perfect....go figure.

Cool, Ive been using the 7546 on my truck off and on, Its been on for the past 6 months with no problems. Its just got a little less tq than the stealth I swap it with. So according to your butt dyno which makes more power, 7530 or 7546? Ive been wanting to upgrade manifolds and was thinking about a 7530 or a RPM air gap, but Id rather not use an edelcrap.
The motor is still on a stand...so I couldn't give you a butt dyno impression. Based on my opinion of the design, I imagine the Team G would do better. On a smaller motor the difference might not be noticable, but on an aggressive one I imagine it would be.
Look into the Air-Gap dual plane Dart makes if you don't think it's ready for the big manifold leap. you can find it on Summit's website. Looks pretty sweet, and best of all..it's not an edelcrock
