hey guys i've got fuel POURING out of the top of the carb...it looks like a vent...if i stick something down in there.. i think i'm touching the float...now ...the car ran out of gas......i filled her back up...and then it wouldnt run....and had fuel pouring out of the top and draining into the secondaries......could this be a clogged float needle????is there a way around this ....without pulling apart the carb..

oh by the way its a 78 q-jet.....in good condition otherwise..

it sounds like a peace of dirt got lodged in the needel and seat. u might have to take the carb apart to clean it out
