Is the accelerator pump in a Quadrajet 30 ccs?
Also, can you buy them as a single item or do you need to buy a whole rebuild kit? Thanks, Teddy Z '84Z28.

I'm sure you can buy them separately somewhere but a cheap-o rebuild kit only costs $15 and comes with one anyway so....
I never measured the cc but its probably about 30 give or take. One way to increse accel pump capacity it to grind about 3/32" off the tip of the accel pump rod itself- that lets the cup sit higher in the accel pump bore, increasing the capacity. You don't want to go too far with this, though, because the bore starts to widen at a certain point which would cause the rubber cup to lose its seal and you could get NO pump shot for the first part of the travel- causing a bad stumble just off idle.
Also, always attach the accel. pump pushrod to the INNER hole on the pump arm.

94 Firebird Formula M6- No options but Z rated tires. No mods over $10. 13.5@105.
79 Malibu "beater" w/junkyard 400 SBC, tweaked QJet 4bbl, finally a decent set of heads, a few other tricks. A maddening 13.000001 @ 108 on the motor with little traction. No nitrous runs with the new heads yet.
