do I smell a leak?
A few weeks back I started smelling fuel on my 86 iroc(carb).I never could find the source,but the smell went away.The smell started when I put a 14in open air cleaner on.My question now-Is it possilble to screw the air cleaner stud pass the point it should be down in the carb,possibly into fuel area?hope I explained what I mean well enough.thanks

Most likely the smell is just fuel evaporating out of you bowls. If you had an oe air intake the smell probaly didn't permeate through it. Q-jets are know to have leaky plugs on the bottom, that may be the culprit.
