air bleed adjustment on c4 Q-jet?

just in front of the air horn there is a plate that can be removed that exposes an adjustment screw which I understand is an air bleed adjustment... My question is what should you moniter while adjusting this... duty cycle of the mixture control selinoid??? O2 voltage??? or what else??? any help on this and the correct procedure of what must be done before doing this is greatly appriciated...
P.S. anyone know what the correct metering rods and jets on a L69 (305 HO) are???

thanks

You measure dwell (MC duty cycle) while adjusting the idle air bleed valve. I have the shop manual with the procedure, but you only touch the idle air bleed valve to finalize dwell readings. Also, there are two sets of procedures, one for idle air bleed valves with a letter stamped on top, and one for idle air bleed valves w/o a letter stamped on top. I'll be happy to post the procedure, but you have to tell me if you have a letter stamped or not. If you don't mind, why do you think you need to adjust the idle air bleed valve?
