Stall Problems

I drive a 1983 stock Firebird, with a 2.8L V6 engine. When it first starts the fast idle runs nice, but when I first kick it down, it stalls when the gas is let up. Every time I press the clutch in at a light or stop sign, it stalls. After about 10 minutes of driving, this problem goes away, and the car runs fine. Any suggestions on how to stop the problem entirely?

If it runs good once it warms up, I would guess it's a choke problem. Sounds like it's too lean, richen it up a little bit and see if it helps. If you don't know how, just let us know.

The choke is on the passenger side of the carb. It is round and usually has 3 screws holding int down. I should say rich / lean. Loosen the screws and turn it a little toward the rich. You may have to drill out rivets if it doesn' have screws.
