600 or 750 carb for my setup???

I'm going to start working on my 355 TPI to Carb swap soon!! I need to know what opinions people have on which carb I should go with for my setup.....600 or 750 (definitely edlebrock)!! The engine will be a 355 with vortech heads (possibly ported), an edlebrock performer RPM intake, a comp cams Xtreme Energy flat tappet cam with a .477/.480 lift and a 224/230 duration, aftermarket ignition, and of course whatever edlebrock carb is decided upon!!

I think with the setup mentioned the engine will breathe just fine for me!! It's gonna be a daily driver anyhow!! Also, I have a budget limit! If I had all the money I wanted I wouldn't be swapping from TPI to carb in the first place! This setup is just a "for now" setup! The TPI WILL be going back eventually! But for now, I need to know which EDLEBROCK carb I should use...the 600 or the 750??? Thanks in advance to anyone who actually answers my question!!

What will your redline be? That will determine a lot. However, assuming 85% Volumetric Efficiency, and a 6K redline, here is the equation
([CID * (Redline/2)]/VE)/1720 = CFM needed

Plugging in your numbers

([355 * (6000/2)]*.85)/1720 = 526 CFM

Given those values of 6000 and 85% VE, you shouldnt need more than a 600.

Here is another equation for finding out upto what RPM your carb can handle. Assuming 600 CFM and 85% VE.

([(CFM * 1720)/.85]/CID) * 2 = Max RPMs
([(600 * 1720)/.85]/355) * 2 = 6840 RPM
ALMOST 7K!

However, for the grins of it, and because lm bored, the 600 CFM can support your monster at 100% VE upto 5814 RPMs.

[(CFM * 1720)/ CID] * 2 = Max RPM
[(600CFM * 1720)/355] * 2 = 5814 RPM

l'll let you make the call
