I agree with Gold The performer would be your best shot No EGR is 10 bucks cheaper than RPM and you can get an EGR version (unlike RPM).

Now i still want my EGR to be functional. So instead of the Edelbrock 600(EDL-1405) should I get the Edelbrock 600 (EDL-1400) which uses the EGR?

I would say you're looking in the wrong place. In addition to the carb, you're going to need a vacuum/mechanical advance distributor. When you get it all done, the change in performance will be next to nil, and your gas mileage will likely suffer, especially if you have an automatic since your TCC will no longer lock (without a seperate switch).

Go for exhaust upgrades first. You'll notice an improvement in performance, and your mileage likely will not suffer (enjoying the right foot effect notwithstanding). Then, cam, then heads, THEN intake. Even then, keep your q-jet.

This probably isn't what you want to hear, but it's what you should listen to.
