Making sure an original TPI car will work with my carb...
Hey guys. I'm dropping a carb'd motor into my 1990 GTA, but I need to make sure everything is going to work properly.
Ray said he used a Mallory regulator in order to drop the pressure down to resonable levels for the carb but does anyone else recommend using something else? just curious.
The intank pump is a Felpro 255lph so I'm not sure since it's an aftermarket unit (and a very nice one at that) if that's going to complicate things or not.
Let me know if I need to address anything else besides the fuel pressure situation as well.
Thanks.

Just make sure you have a vacuum advance distributor. I did the same thing except it was from Cease Fire Injection. oh yeah and install an inline fuel pressure gauge between the carb and the regulator so you can monitor the pressure to the carb.
oh and have you given any thought to the fuel pump? Like how is it going to get power? I forgot this little tidbit and i installed a switch in the dash that looks like a fog light switch but it is for the fuel pump(ultimate theft deterrent system) with an inline fuse of course.

LONG LIVE THE MUSCLE CAR!!!!! MAY ITS REIGN NEVER END
1983Z28 350w/ edelbrock performer RPM power package with 64cc aluminum heads, dynomax shorty headers, 700R-4 with shift kit, 750cfm carb, edelbrock 3" exhaust system, ASCD SS hood, 16" IROC rims.
future mods:
completely done over suspension, black paint with flames, Hurst shifter, dakota digital gauge package, procharger supercharger.
