this is kinda dumb question?
where excatly is the fuel filter for a carburatored car? is it inside the back of the carb? or is it out in the middle of the fuel line? also can you guys give me any tips about changing it?

Mines just out floatin around on one of the lines into the carb, hehe thats where most of them were I thought but who knows... those ones aren't that hard to replace

If it's a stock Q-jet, the filter is a small paper cartridge in the inlet to the carburetor. You can get at it by disconnecting the fuel line from the carb and unscrewing the inlet nut.
