For future reference (big cams and Edelbrock carbs)

I had a hard time getting my 750cfm Edelbrock carb to idle with my engine so I asked here for help. But nobody had any usefull info so I just had to think of a way myself. I followed a friend's advise and drilled 3 small holes in each butterfly. Now it idles at about 900 rpm. Another thing that I hated about it is the HUGE stumble off the line in 1st gear. Changed the springs to "orange" and it went away. Just something to try if anybody has the same problems...

How big is the cam? By Holly standards I'm used to anyway 3 holes in each plate is a crapload.

It's not super big but not small either. It's 245/256 duration at 0.050 .

I will also have to drill the butterflies on my 770 carb because the idle speed screw is in way to far exposing the transfer slot way to much. I tried opening the secondaries(blades) already and it's still not enough . Now comes the drilling on the primaries. I've got 242/242 dur. at 050 (dough herbert hydroller cam). I will only drill one hole in each blade though
