Thirdgen wanted

Well it looks like I am comming into some money. So, I'd like to get another thirdgen. I haven't had one for well over a year and I miss it.

The title of this post was called Firebird 350 Wanted, but actually I am willing to expand my options beyond that.

Looking for a Trans-AM/Formula Firebird. I am open to 350/305 TPI cars, mainly, I prefer cars with T-Tops. I am looking for cars that are in mint condition or damn close to it. I am very picky overall.

I want a car that wouldn't take too much to make showcar ready if possible. I am looking to spend some money here. Mods aren't important, or required. I'd just as soon take it stock and mod it myself.

Send me pictures or post em here. I would like to see exterior and interior pics of the car. The more the better.

The price is fine. I'd prefer to get out cheaper of course. But I'll buy higher priced cars than that if its a "must have".

Really though, T-Tops are a must for me. I don't know why. I practically wouldn't have a car without them. I don't even use them, its really the way they look that does it for me.

Now I can get the conversion done. Markscustomkits in Florida has a good rep for doing the conversion. Personally, I'd rather not. So I would prefer a T-Top car.

Well I've changed my mind, I am much more open to other thirdgens. What got me started was this beutiful GTA I saw on Ebay. Oh well, I missed out on that. Anyway, I am looking for any Firebird/Trans-AM with a TPI engine, (Primarily) thats in MINT condition, inside and out. I've also expanded my price range a bit.

Not sure if I'll get one for sure, but I really miss having a F-Body as my 1987 Trans-AM and my 2002 Firehawk are gone now.

Guess mine is not good enough.... I have 2 the white above and a red mint MINT 29k miles still smells new. The problem is collector's like me can't sell them because everyone is looking foe a cheap 2k deal or something like that. I won't budge, I have neer seen one better than mine in Souith Florida, maybe there are a few like I'e seen on trader online and the Firehawk owners of the remaining '91-'92 class. andy

I am not looking for a 2K deal. Unless I got a really badass car for 2K. Which I don't imagine happening.

Do you have interior pics of the white one? One of the issues is that I am not fond of white and I prefer T-Tops. But if the car is mint and I don't have to sit there and keep on repairing the thing all the time, then I'll skip some of those features to get it.

I have a stock 89 GTA w/T-tops, leather, 5.7 TPI, Automatic 700R4, WS-6 suspension and 93,200 miles for sale. Dark Red (Maroon) Body is in very good shape with only minor scratches. New fiberglass rear wing, rebuilt headlight motors (TDS kit), new water pump, and radiator hoses. Stock GTA wheels are in great shape and tires (T/A 's) have about 75% of original tread left. Everything works well and motor is strong and trans shifts smooth.
Interior has a couple of flaws. Drivers seat is worn in normal spot, on side bolster, and there are a few rips in the seat leather - it seams like someone knelt on the seat and it spit the leather- dash bezel is cracked in the usual place at the bottom of the speedo. The stock radio was replaced with a flip face Kenwood head unit which eliminates the steering wheel controls, but unit has a remote. T-Top storage bag, tounnau cover and front Trans Am floor mats.

If your in the market for a clean GTA to either enjoy on nice days or you want to make a good car a show and go car this could fit the bill. I have pic I can send if your interested.

Yeah shoot me an email. Send to: dark_1@hotmail.com

Also keep in mind that it will probably be a month before I can buy anything. I am waiting on an inheritance check. Before that happens I won't have sufficient funds to purchase a car.

So potential sellers need to be patient. If you sell your car out from under me, its no big deal. Its not like these cars are super rare.

I have a 1990 Pontiac firebird formula 305 tbi with the five speed manual and t-tops with 34k original miles which is in excellent shape and would not need much to be in show condition. The car is amazingly preserved and I can send some pics to you if you would like. I am asking 7000 for it but would definitely entertain offers because I really do need to sell the car. Let me know what you think. The car is bone stock except for a flowmaster muffler and comes with all records and even the original owners manual. I live in Texas and am willing to make a drive to show the car to you if interested.
