Paper or plastic??
From another thread, we know that some ASC's got color matched rear carpet, while others got black only.
Check this out:
Late 92 with plastic pieces in the rear (modified of course). My 92 has molded carpet pieces on the sides and only plastic for the rear piece.
Any idea if there's a pattern for carpet or plastic? The car in question is on Ebay and has other questionable era pieces on it, so it might have been taken from an older ASC during a rebuild.
Thanks,
Kevin D.
PS, unfortunately due to a typo my title doesn't make much sense and I don't think I can change it...

i'm not sure if i understand what you mean. My 88 vert looks exactly like that in the picture with the plastic side and rear panels and with the gray carpet. Thats what all the verts I have seen look like unless i'm missing something? could you post a picture of yours?

You can modify the rear plastic pieces from a coupe (as ASC did) to add both the drivers side storage compartment and passenger side spare tire cover. You have to trim both pieces shorter and cut a hole for the rear trunk hinge.

I guess I'm just trying to figure out the rhyme or reason behind some having carpet and some having plastic.. Seems like it would be easier to wait for more plastic than design molded carpet..

GM (or ASC, not sure which) switched to molded carpet as a cost savings.
