Interior swaps
While I've seen a typical thread regarding generalized F cars... Was there one here?
I was shopping for new cloth seats...while I like and have had velour and leather in my Olds and Cads, respectively. Cloth lends it self to problems with moisture a bit better... and not too costly.
The seats themselves found in various Pontiacs, in my case...are not the most accomodating and many people have been found changing them to Recaros or other's styled for racing and/or comform
One eBay seller joked to me, 'Who doesn't like new seats?"
Exactly!
Mine needs it after years of unexpected rains. I'm not too upset that these, in theory, can be bolted in and out, which is nice, however, having been in a fourth gen coupe and my own '89 third gen... Which seats cover which attributes best? (low/high-big/small person, etc?
This is a hard question because seats COULD fit the individual better then the factory set fitting 'everybody', essentially.
To my own way of thinking, I'm gravitating towards a late 1990s interior, seat wise.
I see a recent post showing a 4th gen dash also moved over to the third gen. I like the Firehawks' interior also being a possibility, along with GTAs, though that obviously adds weight, one thing that sounded good to me was wiring up the power controls on a previously manual adjust interior.
I've lived with manual and have no real problem doing that either.
The main thing is I found the 4th gen to feel even more constricted then the 3rds! How do you guys/gals feel about that observation? Am I alone?
