Sorry for the post mixup, I was surprised it even showed up. Having problems again posting to boards.. dialup hell! ugh

I had to cut and shrink my pics still, but one shot is just too big right now. That's front left view with hood open.
These shots were 1997 I think
The current condition is too sad to show. I need inspiration, but repair est. hardly do the trick :hail:
Admin: I was intending to add this in the convertibles thread...messed up I guess. My stats are listed there

That has been a good looking car. I wish you much success in getting it back into condition.

Not a lot of Firebird 'verts to go around. It's good to see another one is gonna get saved.

Indeed.

I'm trying to figure out how much longer I will have to wait before my car starts appreciating.

Sorry... recent picture (with the GTA Sail Bird).

With the way this car looks, I expect that time to come soon.

If wishes became reality...or I could win some mega bucks, I don't care about appreciation because, sadly two door coupes mainly appeal to those who can afford them, and Ford won the price wars here. Pony car competition in the musclecar era was much better when cars could avoid safety and energy regulations and become almost instant collectibles as they still stand today!

One thing I find makes these exceptional is the sporty and fast factors of the F car and the 4 sseating not found in the long running GM favorite; Corvette.
Everyone thinking sensibly says after a certain point when cost effective ness is easily outweighed, one would favor replacement.
As it stands, I took this one on for a second car, but still requires new bumper and transmission. It was a fantastic bargain anyone going by the "Cadillac" moniker should appreciate!
I'm adding the Rolls Royce style grille and also blue and red pinstripping I have considered using on my white Bird as well. Can you imagine these two together, finished? I really prefer an 80s Eldorado 'Vert...but this seats 4 so again, family friendly! A resale plus. This car has been AC converted and is functioning!!

I already had that stage. '86 Cadillac Deville 4100. Wonderful ride, good power, great luxury.

No one has a car like mine now. Seen a few 80's model Caddies on the side of the rode...

For me, it's not so much as a stage, but an unexplained affinity for GM's design cues. There are Italian and some German cars (Porsche) that catch my eye too, but I've found for long trips in less then great weather, the Cadillacs are a great ticket to comfort American Style...Cadillac Style.
I've also comtemplated owning an XJS Jag as well, at relatively nice prices, the 12 cyl require an eye on maintenence however.
For my 1984 Biarritz experience, I had fuel pump fail there as well as frequent injector flooding and some oxygen sensor problem, but the HT4100 can be mostly trouble free as well, if you happen across a good one. The 4.5 is a much better design. My first '88 Deville had 350,000 miles on it...The white one has 116+. My Firebird has 122+K miles. Hopefully many more ahead on both!
