project update

Well ere is my next project. I bought the 91 RS Convertable back in may and it sat for 4 years with the back window broken out. So far the only bad rust on this car is the passenger side wheel well has a hole the size of my fist and the driver side front floor board is becoming soft other than that it seems to be pretty solid SURPRIZINGLY. The seats were grey leather but the rear seats are in my opinion junk. The carpet was still soaked with water and mold when I took it out after sitting in my garage since may with the top down. As for my plans for the car is to repaint it maroon inside and out, I have a fresh engine here on the stand waiting to go in, totally rebuild the suspension and add lowering springs, 4th gen leather seats, new carpet, and for wheels I am thinking on something like the BOZE wheels like what Kandied91Z had on his car. And here are the pics. In the third pic you can see where it had a new clip put on.

I bought one like that with the front end "replaced" on one side and it was WAAAAAAAAAAAYYYY out......

The spot that gave it away on my car was right behind the heater box in the engine compartment. There was a HUGE ripple in the sheet metal that was hidden by the box. There is a factory bend there, but this was obviously wrong.
I can see in that third pic that there is a bend there, but I can't tell if it looks like the factory bend or if it is what like happened on mine......

I picked up a 91RS vert to use for parts and it didnt look THQAT bad untill I pulled the int. and carpet.

found the floor wrippled all the way back to the center console area

So far everything is checking out ok. Till I got a hold of my weatherstripping that seals the top on top of the windsheild, I was carefully loosening it and then it tore in to. Now hopefully hawks still has one left or I am in for a long extensive search for one.
