Well the whole car is gutted and almost ready for media blasting. I am now getting off all the undercoating, it is going pretty good. I hope I can remember how to put it back together.

In pic2 and pic3 the car is supported on it's side to make working on the underside ALOT easier.

and then fixed.

i ended up taking off the factory subframe connectors and found more rust, there wasnt anything left of the floor pan where is is rusted by the subframe connector, just the glue that seals the gaps is all thats left. I also found the rocker panels are rusted right behind the driver front wheel. Looks like more work to do. I kind of think that this is fun work though.

yeah I had tons more that just that section too. Feels great to be done with that part. My site has more before and after pics. Good stuff. I bet it will comeback someday, but thats ok. By then I will have more $ to spend on a slick rick body from Arizona that I can get dipped. For now this will work just fine.

Not really I got most of the undercoating off and the subframe connectors off, welded in braces so it won't fold on itself and flipped it back over. Now I am just starting the process of building my rotisserie, Comparing the prices of getting one pre built or making my own. A pre built one would cost me 725.00, and I am still waiting on quotes from the metal warehouses here in Des Moines to see if I am going to build it or buy it from www.theroto2000.com since they are 20 min. away from me. But thats it for now.

I looked into building one 3 months ago for a buddy of mine's '70 'Cuda and it is FAR cheaper to buy. By the time you buy it all and get it all together building it is about $900.

Actually I was just quoted 311.00 for the material. I already have a welder so thats not a problem either. The rest is just my time putting it all together. I got my plans here from this website http://www.autobody101.com/rotisserie.php

Well its almost june 06 and I just finally got the steel for my rotisserie. It came up to 286.11. I hope to have the thing built by next weekend or so, my old boss is welding it up for me, since he used to weld for gas pipeline in Alaska I think he would do alot better job than I could ever dream of. There hasn't been much of any work done to the car over the winter due to lack of funds. With in a few weeks to a month I hope to have the car media blasted and put in primer so I can repair the rusted areas. I will keep you guys informed.
