1987 Convertible Top Switch

Anyone know where I can buy a switch to raise the tonneau/top for my convertible. The switch is in the center console between the two window switches. HELP!!!

Thanks,

I looked at year one but they didn't have any. Try to find one in a junkyard or on ebay.

That's a tough part to find.... Mechanically speaking, they are identical to the hatch release switch, so if worse comes to worst, get one of these. Years ago when both of these switches were available at Chevy parts departments, the hatch release switch cost about $6 whereas the convertible tonneau release switch was priced around $35..... again, they are identical except the white print on them.

Hey Willie.....

Hey Willie, I think I snagged one of those switches from the last convert I had access to, I'll check my shed and see if I still have it.....

You know my phone number!

Is is not just a momentary push button switch? I bought one for 5 bucks when I did a remote trunk popper in my vert last month. It will do, till you find a factory replacement anyway.

Willie, I thought 87 used the hatch pop switch then they actually made a switch with tonneau pic in white in 88?
