Top won't drop down...

Hello, For starters, I just got a 89 Iroc vert and I can not get the top to drop down all the way. I have no idea how verts even work. It looks like there is a locking mechanism that won't release under the plasic cover that would be along the outside of the car. I can get the top off the windshield and then it stops. Is there a release switch or a buttion to hit somewhere? If you have some information that can help me, let me know. Thanks.

there is a catch at the back of the top you must undo first, you swing the back forward, then open the rear "tun-oh" (no ida how to spell it) cover with the switch and flip the whole thing back. there is a video in the "media" section of the main site that shows how.

it's long, but it is fun to watch. should be the same for any ASC converted bird or maro. 87ASCcamaro

if you have no battery hooked up you can pull the two cables hehind the edges of the rear seat and pop the tonneu cover that way as well. it bypasses the electrics and pops the latches manualy.

OK there's no battery in the car but I set one up to the switch and got nothing to pop. The two wires behind the rear seats, do they have a loop at the end of them? I was pulling on thoses before posting the thread and it seem that they won't release? Do I just need to pull harder on theses wires to get the locks to release or what cuz i don't wanna break anything. Does any one have a pic of the wires at all? If not I'll just find a dig. camera and take one myself....Thanks
