ok new to drop tops need help

ok new to drop tops need help

so i need to figure why the cover that opens backwards (to let the top fold under it) sticks when i click the electric popper it doesnt always open you kinda gotta hit the button and hit gently on the cover so it pops open, is there an adjustment i can make so it pops everytime i push the button.

I've got the same issue. I think age is the culprit.

Mine dones the same thing... I have only had the car for 5 days, but I learned that when the top was down it would pop up easier, If I gently lift on the cover when hitting the button it seems to pop more consistantly.

I think the previous owner always used the emergency cables, as he seemed unaware that the hatch release button controlled the cover.

I think the solenoids are too weak, I might eventually find some better solenoids to replace them...
