I'm looking for a tonneau or boot release switch for my 91 Z28. I was told that 91 and 92 are the only two years that had them in the tonneau itself and not in the console. Are the two switches the same (the one in the console and the one in the tonneau)? Does anyone have one. I can post a picture if need be.

They are the same. Just order from GM and pop it in.

You can also try ModernDayMuscle.com, we just made a second group purchase there and are completely happy with them. They have a lot of hard to find stuff for good prices.

Also, the difference in the location of the switch was between 91 and 92. The 91's still had it in the center console. In 92, it was moved to the tonneau cover itself.

My car is a 91 and my switch is in the tonneau cover. I have told by alot of people that 91 is in the console..However mine is a 91 and in the cover. Maybe they changed it mid year or something.

 

also on ebay..... a seller named perrypam who sells out of St Louis has TONS of vert parts, NOS and used. They have been GREAT to me. Great price/fast shipping.... There is no doubt they will have it.
